Club “Mod” Referee Program

This unique program is open to 11-13 year olds to learn how to officiate, while also developing leadership skills and the personal responsibility of “a real job” being accountable to show-up for games, interact with the coaches and players, and ref. After a short (and required) training held in early September, kids are eligible to ref U08 & U09 games and get paid.

Our goal is to see kids continue to officiate U10+ games and advance their referee training and credentials through the formal training provided by Seattle Soccer Referee Association (SSRA), which is scheduled & managed by SYSA.

This program runs during the fall season only. For year-around refereeing opportunities visit the Seattle Soccer Referee Association (SSRA) site.

If you are interested in participating in the WSC Referee program, please contact the Referee Development Coordinator. Participants must be middle school age and a registered player with Woodland Soccer Club or another SYSA club.
